 Chicken Parmesan Bake

A simple, oven-baked version of classic Chicken Parmesan, loaded with gooey cheese and flavorful sauce.


Ingredients:

2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts, halved lengthwise (or 4 thin-cut chicken breasts)

1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 egg, beaten

1 tablespoon milk

2 cups marinara sauce

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon olive 

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.


2. In a shallow dish, mix breadcrumbs, ½ cup Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.


3. In another dish, whisk the egg with milk.


4. Dip each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.


5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown (it will finish cooking in the oven).


6. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce in the baking dish. Arrange the seared chicken on top.


7. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the chicken. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.


8. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and the cheese is bubbly and golden.


9. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.


Serving Suggestions:

Serve over pasta, garlic bread, or with a fresh side salad

Garnish with fresh basil or extra Parmesan for extra flavooil


Salt & pepper to taste
